Letter from Fidah to you

Dear Frenchy Souls,

Time flies so fast ar? with a wink of eye, the day that i once were looking forward to is already coming.. you might go huh? but yea.. when i was in sec 1 abt 3 years back.. i can't wait to step down.. coz.. im not a bit interested in french horn section. come on.. honestly.. each of us dont want to be in this section.. right? yea.. we all know it.. deep down our heart.. but somehow as days and time spent in band.. in this section.. it changes my mind.. and when i got juniors and peers to teach the knowledge i have.. that's when i told myself.. i don't want to look forward to the end of my band life in secondary school.. but i have to snap myself back to reality.. im growing.. and getting older.. and i have to move on in my life.. and this memories in this band will be forever be in me..

i started out being in this section without knowing to play it.. i never heard of this instrument until i was in this section. pathetic ar? haha. .that's me.. what can i say? i wasnt from band during my primary school years. .in fact.. i was in choir.. *singing* haha.. for those sec 1 who are stumbling in here.. yea.. you all can say that this senior of yours.. love to sing.. =) before Mr Lim came, i was in saxaphone section.. and was kicked out because i cant play tenor sax.. after rounds of audition.. supposely to be in trumpet section.. but.. Mr Lim came in the sectional room.. check my beautiful teeth and *tada!!* im in the horn section.. Raihan, Mala and Raudhah are from trumpet section too.. and their teeth were also checked by Mr Lim .. and here we are in the horn section.. for the first few weeks.. i was a loner in the section.. learn everything mostly by myself. .the 3 of them were together.. yea.. it was like that till.. Nadhira came.. she's from trombone section.. yea.. and she's the one who gets the ball rolling.. and make us the seniors come together as a section.. everyone of us were a joyful brats.. and the slowest section to get the scales done.. Jamakyah came to help out. .taught us lots of marvelous things too.. Mr Lim came once in awhile to check on us.. we were very immature last time.. really..

Raudhah: Mama Lemon.. woi! thanks for being the SL this yr.. haha.. i was the SL when Sec 1 and 2yrs. .and u were the asst.. haha.. thanks for helping me coaxing the section when im not around. love you girl! all the best for N level!
Raihan: Lil Mama.. oi! Asst SL this yr.. haha.. not bad ar.. ur job call2 and sms pple.. to remind them.. wad to bring..wear.. time reporting.. not bad.. keep up the good work!! =) love u! best lucks for Ns.
Nadhira: Eh BABE! how u doing? getting prettier as days goes by ar?? hhaha.. mama meranda.. better buck up on ur cooking skills.. the whole section is waiting for your invitation to your house.. to taste your cooking! remember ar??!! haha.. smile always.. coz without ur smile.. there will be no sunshine..
Mala: eh.. hippie mama.. i hate you frm the start.. guess wad?? we are loving each other now.. haha.. no la.. no lesbian stuff in between.. but hey.. glad we understand each other now.. =)

year 2003, i given 5 juniors, but one quitted.. left the 4 that i have now.. Tiffany, Jovin, Clements and Yvonne. Clements. .the only man in the family at that point of time.. haha.. i still remembered.. that i was being "chased" by Clements.. sort of begging me that he wants to be in this section.. every recess time.. saw him.. i hide one.. haha. .quite scary when you have someone.. chasing after you.. hahaha.. Clements scary monster.. they have lighten my life.. bring me from dark world to sunny bright island. their joy and laughter.. their different characters within them.. the way the make things very amusing.. and their innocent attitude..

Tiffany: Tiffio.. SL.. will be taking over the responsiblity already. once im gone.. you have to teach the peers and sec 1s.. dont leave the sec 1 to one corner.. ok?? dont be scared when standing in front.. do what u r suppose to do.. anything.. jz ask me.. i will here ok?
Yvonne: Vone.. asl.. help tiffy ok?? i bet she will be very very STRESS. .with all the library work and all. and thank God.. now u r talking.. and please.. dont be immature like tiffy and jovin.. ok?? haha..
Jovin: Jotopus.. dont be blur la.. u r ar.. really like sotong.. sec 3 alrd. .cannot be so blur ok?? now in 3E .. triple sci class.. dont be so stress... manage ur time well ok? =) u can do it one!
Clements: used to be the only man in the family ar.. told u tat ur male population is the section will grow. .and now u have 2 boys under u! take care of the girls ar.. and also the boys la.. but still.. u r like man in the family already.. so have responsibilty of taking care of EVERYONE!!! haha.. including me. .and ur seniors.. u have changed alot.. be more responsible and mature ok?? =)

in 2004, yet again, i was given 4 juniors.. but all left except for one.. Khaliesa.. other than her being my one and only sec 1 that year.. she's was also.. a friend.. i once knew when i was a little girl.. yea..last time. .we used to meet up and play at the playground near our house.. but then. .we were seperated coz.. she move out.. and so did i.. yea. .and we are met in this school.. in this band.. in this section..

Khaliesa: Sha2. eh solo batch.. haha.. sorang jer?? nvmm .. its ok if ur batch only got u.. but u still have ur seniors who love you a lot.. continue to improve on ur skils.. ok? will be here supporting u!

this year.. 2005.. im given 4 wonderful immature sec 1s.. Edwin, Cai Yu, Imran and Muhaimin.. yea.. even thought we are not that close.. you and i and the seniors have felt the love among each other.. im so glad to have each one of you guys.. coz. some of you resemble the seniors! =) must work hard ar? studies also must be good.. don't slack around..

Edwin: Ed.. u ar.. too quiet ar. .talk more.. then.. suddenly jz laugh.. haha. .got same surname as jo right? dont be as blur as her ok?? haha.. talk more la.. im not used to queit people!
Cai Yu: CY!!! suddenly.. u r the only girl in ur batch.. haha. .relax.. the no. of girls in our section is the majority.. so dont worry.. we got girl power!!! haha.. good ar now.. can play quite well.. continue to be better ok? =) will be supporting u.. always..
Imran: Rann!!! haha.. stop complaining la.. look at CY. .she got complaint?? no rite. .and the sound of a horn is not a farting sound ok? jz tat .. when u play it sound tat way! haha.. anyway.. now ur sound improving la.. carry on to get better skills.. ok? and dont be cranky.. be more mature ok?
Muhaimin: Min or Max? haha.. kk.. nice to have u here in french horn section. .so willing to come. .and dont even disagree to join this section. .ur head keep slanting when playing.. but the seniors will teach u the proper way ok? dont worry.. i will stop by and teach u.. =)

i would like to take this opportunity to tell you guys... that i love you guys.. a lot!! really.. i feel the sense of belonging.. a sense of love.. a sense of to be loved. a sense of family.. the joy and sorrow we had together. .gosh.. im going to miss every single moment i have we you guys.. no wrong.. i wont miss that.. but i will definately miss standing in front of you people during sectionals.. nagging.. lecturing.. getting into frustration.. i going to miss how you guys makes my blood boil.. and somehow.. i going to miss. how we confront each other when we are sad.. depressed.. how we manage to have some family hugs in between time.. how we manage to put a smile on each one of our faces.. remember? during the dec camp.. i have lots of fun.. where Clements WILLINGLY wear the pink shirt.. for the sake of his girls in the section.. and during dinner.. we all were eating and all. .refilling our plates.. and what did raihan have to say??? "obesity kills!" haha.. and the seniors were singing the butt song.. erm... it goes like this "everybody.. from the top.. 1 2 3 4 .. i like big butts and i cannot lie... " remember? oh yea. .and remember. .during the camp.. 2nd day.. was jovin's birthday.. each one of us. .were trying hard not to spill the beans.. haha.. none of us wishes her a happy birthday.. till like 10 mins before midnight?? haha. .sho bad ar?? haha.. wow.. there's so much memories to be shared. .so much to remember.. im glad i'm in this section.. i really do..

i would like to express my thanks to the batch 2002.. Odah, Aan, Mala and Nad.. we have been in this section for a nearly 3 1/2 years.. our friendship start way back then.. every single. .events.. moments.. are priceless.. that each one of us have gained.. we have grow from immaturity state of mind to at least.. now.. at a young adult mind..

Juniors, thank you so much for the joy that you guys have always bring..

to the sec 1s, big mama going off already... listen to the seniors ok?? dont be so naughty like them.. they are much more worse than you.. so behave well.. and always strive to the best player you can be.. ok?? i will here if you guys need the guidance..

Jamakyah. .are you reading this?? yes.. you. .thank you! you are the one who help me sort my brains out.. in terms of playing and teaching the section..

lastly.. MR LIM!!!!!!! u there?? haha.. firstly.. i would like to apologise IF there's any spelling error in this entry.. haha.. thank you.. for dragging me in this section.. like saying goes.. this is "blessing in disguise" ar?? i think so ar.. my english a bit... er.. u should know.. haha.. thanks for passing the techniques. .knowledge and art of playing the horn.. even though i still have much more to learn.. and have u realise. .that u have sort of becoming like the section Daddy?? hahhaa.. yea.. u are.. and you do look like one!! must smile often also.. then the sec 1s won't shiver everytime we mention your name.. =)

remember..

God makes some people French Horn Players While Others are so not Fortunate and he choose the prefect ones for us. and all of the things hapened.. it's worth it! thank you for making this happened..
